One can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance, but that’s also part of the joy in photographing them.



Kids are unpredictable and the photography session you envisioned with every little details that has been planned may just end up the opposite. Whatever the case may be, the best bet is to go with the flow.



They pause to listen to an airplane in the sky, stoop to watch a ladybug on a plant - kids have their own agendas and timescales.  As they find out more about their world and their place in it, they work hard not to let adults hurry them. And this is the very reason we need to hear their voices. Let them jump in puddles, climb trees, lie in the grass, dream big, build a fort, run barefoot, slay dragons, play in the rain, reach for the stars, imagine, tread gently, sleep soundly. While we try to teach our children all about life, they teach us what life is all about.
